ABOUT

Being brought up in the Northwest of England has influenced much of my artwork and life experiences, and this is translated within my research and practice. Training later in life at Farnham and Glasgow for a BA and a Master’s in contemporary fine arts, my work has been shown at all levels, and have pieces in several collections around the world.

 My Arts practice spans drawing, painting, and sculpture and is centered around the fluidity of life and humanity within our landscape, industry, and ecology and how we experience them through the female gaze.

I develop narratives that offer visual autobiographies; articulating images of mind, body, and earth. My interest is in how fragmented imagery, objects, memory, and nature correspond to the quality of thought and imagination.

 I am a co-instigator of www.haus-a-rest.com an online art zine where we bring like-minded artists together, here we shine a light on new and established artists, writers, poets, theorists, and any other interesting creatives we come across on this journey.

My passion has always been the arts and nature and I love nothing more than combining the two and involving local communities to explore this symbiosis of nature and humans together.

Bringing artists and communities together is something I do naturally, to as varied an audience as possible, through local and national exhibitions. I have instigated many exhibitions in unusual places, from small traveling galleries to pop-ups in disused buildings and art exhibitions in Commercial spaces.
